About photoshop techniques ...

In english...

Well ... since every persons who want to paint for the first time on photoshop don't understand anything ... I'll explain a bit :)

Photoshop ... if you want to draw or paint really well the less you must have is a wacom tablet ... a tablet xD

Now you have photoshop, your tablet and a plenty of documents and music to inspire you...

You just run it and lose yourself with a " Oh my god ... there's too much functions and buttons ... I can't draw with that :( "
Well actually ... drawings and paintings don't require the WHOLE functions of photoshop ...

So ... let's say you want to draw something ( like me ) ... you pick up a brush ( color black ) opacity 5% and flow 30%
You just draw something as if you were on a paper ... ( but with 5% opacity it's a bit longer ^^ adjust it to fit yourself in photoshop )

When you think you're done with the simple drawing ... you pick the Burn tool on midtone mode and make your drawing darker ... but not too much :o
Then you put the burn tool on Highlight mode and put some shadows and light values on your drawing ...

When you think your values are good you create another layer and put it in the Overlay Mode ( I used to do this when I want to put some colors ) then you play with the colors, with a few opacity brush, with the smudge tool, with the Noise filter ... and a lot of others things :p

Colors can be reajust with burn tool too ;)

With some sketches, speed paintings, and drawings ... you'll be able to use photoshop really well :p ... all you need to are Practice and Experience ;=)

Also watch some speedpainting videos on youtube ... it's really useful too, you could learn some tips just by looking people painting on photoshop :p

Tool box : Here's some points you MUST know if you want to draw and paint faster in photoshop !

F = Switch by 3 modes : window, full window, and full window with black background ( if you put this with the Professionnal mode ... anyway just try it out xD
Tab = Professionnal mode
B = Brush
R = Smudge Tool
O = Burn Tool
Ctrl + Shift + N = Create another layer
L = Lasso
M = Selection mode
E = Eraser
Ctrl + A = Select all ( then Del. to delete your whole drawing xD )
Ctrl + U = Hue / Saturation

Also when you are on smudge tool mode ... if you hold the Alt button while using it you would be able to paint with the smudge tool ... Try it out it can be useful

For the Burn tool too, if you hold the Alt button you'll temporarily switching to the dodge tool effects, it's really useful :p

If you hold the Alt button while painting with the Brush ... ... no this one is useless xD

Bon ... Puisque toutes les personnes qui veulent peindrent pour la première fois sur photoshop ne comprennent rien a rien ... je vais expliquer un peu :)

Photoshop ... Si vous voulez dessiner ou peindre comme il faut, le strict minimum que vous devez avoir est une palette wacom ... ou une palette quoi xD

Maintenant vous avez Photoshop, votre palette et des tonnes de documents et musiques pour vous inspiré...

Vous lancez photoshop et vous vous perdez avec un " Oh mon dieu ... il y a trop de fonctions et boutons ... Je peux pas dessiner avec ça :( "
Ben en fait ... les dessins et les peintures n'ont pas besoin de TOUTES les fonctions de photoshop ...

Alors ... Disons que vous voulez dessiner quelque chose ( comme moi ) ... vous prenez un pinceau ( couleur noir ) Opacité 5% et dureté 30%
Vous dessinez juste quelque chose comme si vous étiez sur du papier ... ( mais avec 5% d'opacité ça va être un peu long ^^ ajustez l'opacité pour vous habituez a photoshop )

Quand vous pensez avoir fini avec le dessin tout simple ... vous prenez le Burn tool en mode Midtone et rendez plus foncé votre dessin ( essentiellement les contours ) mais pas trop :o
Ensuite vous mettez le burn tool en mode Highlight et mettez des valeurs d'ombres et de lumière sur votre dessin...

Quand vous pensez que vos valeurs sont bonnes, vous créez un autre calque et vous le mettez en mode incrustation, overlay chez moi ( j'ai l'habitude de faire ça quand je veux mettre des couleurs ), ensuite vous jouez avec les couleurs, avec un pinceau a faible opacité, avec le doigt, avec le filtre de Bruit ... et beaucoup d'autres choses :p

Les couleurs peuvent être réajusté avec le Burn Tool ;)

Avec quelques brouillons, speed painting, et des dessins ... vous serez capable d'utiliser photoshop a merveille xD ... Tout ce dont vous avez besoin sont l'entrainement et l'expérience ;=)

Regarder aussi quelques videos de speedpainting sur Youtube ... c'est très utile, vous pouvez apprendre plusieurs astuces seulement en regardant les gens peindre sur photoshop :p

Boîte à outils : Voici quelques points que vous DEVEZ connaître si vous voulez dessiner et peindre rapidement sur photoshop !

F = Permet de switcher 3 modes pour voir l'image : Mode fenêtre, Mode plein écran, et le même mode mais avec un fond noir :p ( avec Tab vous avez les conditions idéales pour dessiner sans soucis :) )
Tab = Mode Professionnel
B = Pinceau
R = Doigt
O = Burn Tool
Ctrl + Shift + N = Crée un nouveau calque
L = Lasso
M = Selection ( rectangle )
E = La gomme
Ctrl + A = Sélectionner toute l'image ( ensuite Suppr. pour effacer tout le dessin )
Ctrl + U = Hue / Saturation

Quand vous utilisez le doigt et que vous maintenez la touche Alt vous pouvez peindre avec le doigt et avoir des formes très originales :p Essayez, ça peut être très utile.

Pour le Burn tool aussi, si vous maintenez le bouton Alt vous aurez l'effet du Dodge tool ( qui a l'effet inverse du Burn tool ) sans changer d'outil, très utile.

Tous ces petits raccourcis vous font gagner entre 2 à 6 secondes par changement d'outil ( selon la personne bien sur :p )
